8: Launch of STS-125.
Space Shuttle Atlantis returns to Hubble for the
final planned servicing mission to the space-based astronomical
observatory. The crew of seven will be commanded by Scott D.
Altman. Because of the nature of the flight, a second space
shuttle will remain on standby during the mission as a rescue
vehicle.
